WASHINGTON (NNS) -- Headlines Ashore and Afloat for the week ending Oct. 13, 2006:
- Advancement incentives for Individual Augmentees are announced.
- Navy Special Warfare introduces new ratings to the community.

NMCN Stories:
- The Navy’s 10th and final Nimitz-class carrier, USS George H. W. Bush (CVN 77) is christened.
- USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) returns to the fleet.
- Elements of the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit prepare for deployment.
- Marines in light attack helicopter squadrons are the first and last to touch the helos during a mission.
